I'm with Mike I agree with you that I agree with you, the UI is still slow and unthought-of. And am I the only person in this forum who's actually in their 2nd season Franchise already? Wow! I've spent too much time with Mut 25 coins, its Draft Champions and their trainers. I typically put off until the very first major patch to really get deep into the franchise game. In that new information section...goodness, EA might need an entire team of new players to give that look a chance to be at all attainable to enter into.
I've moved ahead in previous seasons and played the draft a few times-which is good-but only to look at the longer-term development of stats and data. OK Kevin you've written an article on the passing game, but you've been a bit quiet to date. What is it about the game that is most striking to you about this year's game in comparison to the previous seasons?
(You are able to answer the other two (after Kevin provides a well thought-out and well-written critique of the game). For me, the most significant difference is the new zone defense. I am awestruck to be able to talk about zone defenses, and I am confident that my team members will continue to be professional in their behavior. It has a huge impact on other aspects, including the passing game.
Agreed. It is much better to play defensively and makes it more enjoyable. I'm with you on this. Actually, I (at some points) have found myself deciding to prefer the zone to man. This is similar to Madden the apostasy that is. Oh, and for the record on franchise mode, nothing is needed more than a realistic and working new injury system where ANY player can actually get hurt on a given play-complete with probable/questionable/doubtful/out designations.
My only issue with buy Madden 25 coins defense so far appears to be that blitzes don't have enough pressuring on QB. Are you experiencing that? Absolutely, zone is excellent for times when your defense is weak. I've got my pass blocking setting at 60 or 65 and it's been great. I have zero sacks in the AI and last night, I watched Joey Bosa have 3.5 and five team sacks.
